Dr Ravichandran Nadarajah

​Dr Ravichandran is the Head of Gynaecologic Oncology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He also serves as the Chief of Gynaecologic Oncology for Singapore General Hospital and SingHealth. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Malaya in 2000, followed by a Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and MRCOG in 2008, and FRCOG in 2021. He began his career as a specialist at Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor (2008–2010), one of Malaysia’s busiest hospitals.

In 2010, he joined Singapore General Hospital and was awarded the SingHealth HMDP scholarship for advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery training in gynecologic oncology at Hanyang University Hospital and Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, South Korea. He also completed a fellowship in cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer, pseudomyxoma peritoneii, and HIPEC at the National Cancer Centre Korea.

Dr Ravichandran has extensive experience in managing gynaecologic cancers and performing complex surgeries, including cytoreductive surgery, pelvic and para-aortic lymph node dissection, and pelvic exenteration. His patients include the elderly, those with multiple medical co-morbidities and morbidly obese. 

Skilled in minimally invasive techniques, he performs laparoscopy, laparo-endoscopic single-site surgery (LESS), vNOTES, and robotic surgery, serving also as a robotic surgery proctor.

Passionate about managing severe endometriosis, large fibroids, abdominal cerclage, and ovarian transposition, he treats both local and international patients, including government-sponsored referrals from the UAE and Brunei for complex cases such as advanced ovarian cancer and severe endometriosis.
