A few years after graduating from National University of Singapore (NUS), Dr Ruixiang was awarded the Ministry of Health scholarship to pursue Paediatric Dentistry at King’s College London (KCL). He passed both his MSc and PGCert with Distinctions. He subsequently passed the Tri-collegiate MPaedDent diploma examinations and is now a member to the Royal College of Surgeons of England. After his return to Singapore, he attained Singapore Dental Specialist Board Accreditation and is currently a Fellow to the Academy of Medicine Singapore.
As a Consultant Paediatric Dentist with KKH Dental Service and Cleft & Craniofacial Centre, Dr Yee provides preventive and therapeutic dental care for infants, children, and adolescents. This includes working closely with the medical team to manage children with medical conditions, special needs, child abuse, and dental trauma.
He is active in research and passionate in teaching medical and dental colleagues. He is a clinical teacher at Faculty of Dentistry, NUS. He is also invited regularly to teach oral health to SingHealth Paediatric Medicine residents.
He volunteers as the Vice President of Society for Paediatric Dentistry Singapore, Board Member of Paediatric Dentistry Association of Asia (PDAA), and was the board member of the Singapore Dental Health Foundation. He is also a question writer/reviewer for the 2023 International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) Fellowship Exam Committee (Section of Special Needs & Paediatric Medicine).
