Dr Amudha is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Neonatology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH). She began her career in 2006 at KKH after completing Membership examinations in the United Kingdom. Following local training requirements for Specialist registration, she completed Advanced Specialty training in Paediatrics and subsequently in Neonatology.
For 20 years at KKH, she managed regular Neonatology duties including outpatient clinical work, teaching, and training. Since 2009, she led the Birth Defects clinic, providing antenatal counselling and multidisciplinary palliative care for families with life-limiting foetal conditions. From 2015, managed the Down Syndrome clinic, supporting families from antenatal stages.
She hold academic appointments as Adjunct Assistant Professor and Clinical Lecturer across three medical schools, teaching medical students, nursing students, and residents. As Clinical Physician Faculty of SingHealth Paediatrics Residency Programme, she received the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2022.
