Dr Cherie Chua graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2016. She underwent Singhealth Paediatric Residency training from 2017-2023 and was trained in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. During her years of training, she served in the Singhealth Residency Committee from 2017-2019 and as Chief Registrar in 2020. She was awarded Membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and Master of Medicine, Paediatric (Singapore) in 2020. She received Specialist Accreditation in 2023.
She is currently a Consultant in the Paediatric Endocrinology service, with a keen interest in paediatric bone health and disorders including primary and secondary bone fragility disorders, disorders of calcium and phosphate metabolism and rare bone diseases. She is a team member of the Growing Up in Singapore Towards Healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) and Healthy Early Life Moments in Singapore (HELMS) projects, which aim to understand and improve maternal and child health in Singapore.
Committed to medical education, she is actively involved in undergraduate teaching and training of the general paediatric residents.
