About

Clinical Assistant Professor Christelle Tan is a Consultant Developmental Paediatrician at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. She received her MBBS and Master of Medicine from the National University of Singapore and completed paediatric training at the National University Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.  She is currently clinical faculty of all 3 medical schools in Singapore. She is also faculty of the Singhealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and Clinical Physician Faculty Member for the Singhealth Paediatric Medicine Residency Programme.

Her clinical interests focus on learning and behavioural difficulties in children, including Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism. She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan fellowship for a six-month placement at the Child Development Centre, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where she focused on emotional and behavioural difficulties, child mental health, and early childhood development. During this time, she was involved in research with the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit and the Centre for Child, Adolescent and Family Research, and gained experience in evidence-based parenting programmes and infant mental health interventions through the Play in Education, Development & Learning Centre at the University of Cambridge. 

Prior to joining KKH, she practised as a Consultant Paediatrician in private practice for three years.
