Upon completing Paediatric Medicine training in Singapore, Dr Ronald Tan was awarded an RCPCH Fellowship for further training in paediatric haematology/oncology at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, UK.
Dr Tan joined the KKH Emergency Medicine Department in 2017. In addition to clinical, research and teaching duties at KKH, he is an examiner for Duke-NUS, NUS and LKC Medical Schools, as well as course instructor for the DMRC (Disaster Medical Responder’s Course), EAMC (Emergency Airway Management Course), and course director for HazMat (Hazardous Materials) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) courses at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation.
Dr Tan has interests in paediatric disaster medicine and child injury prevention. He concurrently represents KKH as Deputy Commander, MOH Disaster Site Medical Command (DSMC).
