Dr Shilpee Raturi

Dr Shilpee has been working at the Department of Child Development at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) since 2015. She has a keen interest in understanding the impact/role of early childhood adversity with specific focus on caregiver mental health on subsequent learning, development and behavioural profile of children. She previously collaborated with the department of social workers in a joint project to promote screening for adverse childhood experiences among preschool children following up at KK Hospital. She is currently involved in building a caregiver mental health service framework at DCD. She is the co-lead for DayOne programme, a collaboration between KKH and Lien foundation, which aims to proactively identify the psychosocial needs of the caregivers of preschool children with developmental needs and provide needs based intervention to support them in their caregiving journey.

She is also interested in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She strongly believes in moving towards promoting neuro-harmony and helping all children thrive and lead a fulfilling life.
