About Doctor

Dr Yip Wai Yan is a senior consultant in the Department of Neonatology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She received her specialist training in Paediatric Medicine and Neonatology in Singapore. She provides both inpatient and outpatient care for newborn babies. Her areas of interest are in neonatal transport and programme implementation to improve neonatal care and outcomes. In addition to clinical services, she teaches medical students from the 3 medical schools in Singapore, trainee doctors and nurses, as well as provides inter-hospital training in neonatal resuscitation and pre-transport stabilisation. She is also involved in maternal and child health projects to improve care and outcomes in South-East Asia.
