Dr Loh is a Senior Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at KKH, bringing diverse medical expertise spanning 30 years in international clinical practice, research, and medico-legal consultation. After qualifying in medicine in Ireland and obtaining a master's degree in infectious disease from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, he completed fellowship training in endocrinology, higher specialist training in Bristol, and a neurology fellowship in Brisbane, Australia.
His current practice encompasses the full spectrum of general paediatric neurological conditions, with specialist expertise in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) and difficult-to-treat headache disorders. He has established a comprehensive TSC clinic at KKH offering coordinated care where patients access treatment for multiorgan issues in a single consultation. This builds upon his eight years heading the largest Tuberous Sclerosis Centre in the UK. He remains active in collaborative TSC research.
Dr Loh provides advanced neuromodulation treatments for headaches and expert assessment for dizziness disorders in children. His work is supported by his role as investigator for numerous migraine and epilepsy trials and his lecturing at Royal Society of Medicine and Royal College of Paediatrics events.
During his UK career, Dr Loh developed medico-legal expertise in safeguarding assessments and diagnostic review cases, including expert witness testimony, providing insights into clinical decision-making and patient safety. He also served as a GMC consultant appraiser.
