The 2nd Developmental Paediatrics Conference (DPC) 2026 is organised by the Department of Child Development (DCD), KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). The conference will be held from 14 to 16 July 2026 at SingHealth Academia.
The theme of this year’s conference, “From awareness to action: Fostering resilience and positive mental health in children and families,” highlights the importance of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children with developmental needs, as well as their families and caregivers. It also underscores the value of close collaboration between practitioners, families, and the community to build resilience and promote positive mental health.
The three-day programme will begin with preconference workshops on 14 July 2026, designed for selected community partners working with vulnerable children and families, as well as caregivers who may be experiencing mental health challenges. This will be followed by the main conference on 15 and 16 July 2026, bringing together a diverse group of local and international experts, including doctors, allied health professionals, early intervention specialists and educators, to share knowledge, research findings, and best practices.
Building on the success of our inaugural Developmental Paediatrics Conference in March 2024, which attracted over 350 participants from Singapore and the region, we anticipate an even broader and more diverse audience in 2026. We are privileged to host a distinguished lineup of internationally and locally renowned speakers, with expertise spanning paediatric and adult mental health, developmental care, and familycentred practice. The conference will also showcase ongoing research and developments in developmental paediatrics, providing valuable insights that will contribute to advancing clinical practice and improving outcomes for children and their families.
We invite you to submit an abstract and contribute to the scientific programme by sharing your work, ideas and engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration. We would be delighted to have you join us for this meaningful event and look forward to your participation.
