Overview

HEAD First course is designed to bridge the diagnostic gap in primary headaches among general paediatricians, paediatric trainees and general practitioners. The course uses the HEAD framework — History-taking, Evaluating red flags, Assessing headache, and Diagnosis and treatment, to equip clinicians with a structured, immediately applicable approach to paediatric headache assessment. A locally developed AI chatbot complements the course by reinforcing clinical reasoning at the point of care. By building diagnostic confidence and reducing reliance on unnecessary investigations, HEAD First aims to improve patient outcomes, reduce unnecessary investigations, and deliver better value-based care.
