The KKH Children's Blood and Cancer Centre stands as Singapore's premier comprehensive paediatric haematology and oncology training destination, offering multiple fellowship and observership programmes with exceptional learning opportunities across subspecialties within childhood blood disorders and cancer care. Fellows and observers gain invaluable hands-on experience alongside internationally recognised specialists who manage over 100 new cancer cases annually. With access to state-of-the-art facilities, active participation in clinical trials and research, and exposure to holistic patient care that extends from diagnosis through survivorship, our programmes deliver comprehensive training designed to prepare you for leadership roles in paediatric blood disorders and cancer care whilst advancing the field through education, research, and innovation.

July 2026 - June 2027	12 months for Singapore Medical Council (SMC) medical registration and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) temporary employment pass registration (Note: Acceptance and training commencement is dependant on successful registration with SMC and MOM)

Note: Applications are open year-round for the following types of training and programmes:

Hands-off Observerships (up to 4 weeks)
Clinical Observerships (limited hands-on, up to 6 months)
Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Pathology
Clinical Fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology

All other Clinical Fellowships adhere to the timeline above.

The Paediatric Haematology/Oncology Service at KK Women's and Children's Hospital is a comprehensive centre treating approximately 100 new childhood cancer cases annually, representing 70-80% of local cases, alongside benign blood disorders such as haemophilia and thalassaemia. The Children's Blood and Cancer Centre features a 23-bed inpatient ward with bone marrow transplant facilities and a 12-bed day therapy centre, supported by a multidisciplinary team including specialist surgeons, pathologists, and radiologists. The service offers advanced treatments including blood and marrow transplants, cellular therapies like CAR-T, and maintains the Singapore Children's Cancer Registry, whilst providing holistic care through allied health professionals, social workers, and the Children's Cancer Foundation who offer psychosocial support, play therapy, and educational services to patients and families.
