Adult: 5 mL
Paediatric: Minimum blood 500 µL

Invert blood 5 times after blood collection ensures the clot activator is well mixed with the blood. This will ensure results are reliable.

Under exceptional circumstances eg: difficult blood draw, if blood volume is ≥ 250 µL (but < 500 µL), please send a memorandum to the lab to request for an exception. Note: The sample volume is below manufacturer's requirement, the reliability of assay results cannot be guaranteed.
