Tissue / Pus / Abscess / Fluid / Aspirate to be sent in a sterile container. Anaerobic blood culture media: Typically bone marrow or freshly aspirated joint fluids will be inoculated into the anaerobic blood culture medium. Note: Freshly aspirated joint fluid is highly encouraged to be submitted neat: as well as inoculate into a set of blood culture (aerobic & anaerobic) media.
