Collect blood to the mark in specimen tube.


Invert blood 5 times after blood collection ensures the anticoagulant is well mixed with the blood. This will ensure results are reliable.

​For accurate plasma glucose results, it is advisable to send blood specimens on ice to the laboratory as soon as possible after blood collection. Specimens sent to the laboratory without ice are also acceptable.
