Specimen Container	Sterile container with CV/POC transport media (To be obtained from Cytogenetics Laboratory)
Specimen Requirement	Specimen should be taken ASEPTICALLY under local anaesthesia, preferably not from groin area due to increased risk of fungal infection. Sterile techniques must be observed during specimen collection. Size: 3 - 4mm in diameter, including dermis. Shallow or conical biopsies that fail to reach dermis are not satisfactory. Place specimen in transport media.
Specimen Storage/Transport	1) Transport to laboratory at room temperature as soon as possible 2) For after office hours, send to lab and lab to store at 4^oC - 8^oC in Client Services refrigerator.
