Eye Centre - Ophthalmology

Synonym(s):

The Eye Centre is the only dedicated paediatric eye clinic within a children's hospital in Singapore and the region. Our team of experienced paediatric ophthalmologists is assisted by clinic staff experienced in caring for children.

Common paediatric conditions which we see include amblyopia, childhood strabismus, retinopathy of prematurity, childhood refractive errors (including management of myopia progression). We also have expertise in the management of severe conditions like congenital ocular abnormalities, childhood cataracts, ocular tumours (like retinoblastoma). We work closely with doctors with oculoplastic, corneal, glaucoma, neuro-opthmological and retinal expertise, and are therefore able to offer care to children with all types of rarer opthalmological diseases.

We believe that through early diagnosis and management is important in ensuring best possible visual outcomes for many children. We are well-equipped with a range of imaging and diagnostic equipment.

To make the children feel comfortable and welcome, the centre was made with large consultation rooms and a spacious colourful waiting area.
The rooms are designed to facilitate the smooth flow of patients from one area of eye tests and investigations to the next.
