KK Menopause Centre

Synonym(s):

Menopause is a natural biological process where the ovarian function gradually declines and permanently stops due to aging, or when both ovaries are surgically removed. Every woman's menopause experience is unique. While some go through this period with little to no issues at all, some women may experience hormonal changes that result in hot flushes, sleep disturbance, mood disorder and sexual dysfunction. Our multi-specialty KK Menopause Centre comprising gynaecology, family medicine, dermatology and mental health specialists, aim to address various aspects of menopause holistically and support women during and beyond the menopause period. This means we look at various aspects of a woman’s health – physical, emotional, mental, and sexual, as well as chronic disease screening and disease prevention. We provide interventions such as lifestyle adjustments, hormone therapy and non-hormonal therapy. Together with counselling and patient education, we aim to increase women's awareness of menopause and promote women's general well-being and healthier ageing. By addressing all these aspects, we enable women to receive the best possible care during menopause, and continue to lead a healthy quality of life as they navigate this transformative life stage.
