Haematologist approval is required to perform the test on highly infectious cases (confirmed / suspected).

Specimens sent outside the indicated hours will be processed and reviewed on the next working day.

Only haematopoietic cells are evaluated. For cases with suspected involvement of non-haematopoietic cells, the requesting clinician will be informed to send specimen to Cytology Lab for assessment.
