Specimen Container	Sterile container for fluid Sterile container without any media for swab
Specimen Requirement	A. Vitreous or eye tap: as much sample as possible. Collect sample in a sterile container or in a syringe with needle removed. B. CSF: At least 0.5 mL of sample in a sterile container. C. Swab for vesicles. Use Dacron-tipped swabs. Sample base of lesions vigorously and send dry in swab sheath.
Specimen Storage/Transport	Refrigerate sample until transfer to laboratory. Do not freeze. Send sample with an ice pack.
