The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine comprises a dynamic and forward-looking team of close to 200 staff including pathologists, medical laboratory scientists and medical technologists. The department offers a comprehensive diagnostic service for all aspects of laboratory testing for women and children.

The department is accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (ISO15189) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for clinical testing. It is also accredited by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia for the training of residents in Anatomical Pathology, Microbiology and Chemical Pathology.
