Dr Pooja trained as a Pediatrician in India and joined the Department of Neonatology as a Clinical Associate in 2004. After completing MRCPCH in 2008, she completed her Advanced Specialist Training in Pediatrics in 2011 followed by Advanced Specialist Training in Neonatology in 2012.

Dr Pooja’s sub-speciality interests included quality improvement, birth defects and syndromes, neonatal and premature baby nutrition and training of junior doctors.
