Profile

Dr Christelle Tan is an accredited Paediatrician at the Department of Child Development at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH), Singapore. She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK. She received her MBBS and Master of Medicine from NUS and completed her training in Paediatrics at the National University Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. She is currently clinical faculty of the 3 medical schools in Singapore- Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine NUS, Duke-NUS Medical School and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr Tan’s special interest is in conditions that affect learning- such as ADHD, specific learning disabilities like dyslexia, oral/written language disorders and reading difficulties. She holds a Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy teaching.

Dr Tan’s work in developmental paediatrics also includes seeing a wide range of conditions such as patients with language delay, behavioural concerns, global developmental delay and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is trained in autism assessments as well as the Kazdin method of Parent Management Training, which helps parents support children with significant behavioural concerns.

Prior to joining KKH, Dr Tan had been a Consultant paediatrician in private practice for 3 years.
