Dr Low Mei-Yi currently holds the position of Head of Department and Senior Consultant Otolaryngologist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Department of Otolaryngology with a clinical interest in paediatric airway disease and ear disease.

She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003 and entered the Otolaryngology training programme in May 2007. She passed her membership examinations in Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2006 and MMed (Otolaryngology) in 2010. In 2013, she was accredited as a Specialist in Otolaryngology by the Ministry of Health and admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in 2015. She was awarded the Healthcare Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship by MOH to pursue a paediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne from 2013 to 2014.

She has been a core faculty member in the SingHealth Otolaryngology Residency programme since 2014 and is actively involved in resident training. She has a keen interest in the management of children with complex congenital or acquired airway disease, including paediatric sleep and snoring disorders, in order to improve function and patient quality of life.
