About Doctor

Dr Ong Han Lim is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), Singapore. In addition to general paediatric surgery, his clinical interests include paediatric colorectal surgery, neonatal surgery, minimally invasive paediatric surgery, and paediatric and adolescent bariatric surgery.

Dr Ong completed a fellowship in Paediatric and Neonatal Surgery at the internationally renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, United Kingdom. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in teaching medical students and surgical trainees, and holds academic appointments with Duke-NUS Medical School and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr Ong has a strong interest in the management of complex colorectal conditions in children, including congenital bowel disorders, faecal incontinence following surgery, and chronic constipation. He is actively involved in developing specialised paediatric bowel management programmes and utilising advanced diagnostic tools such as high-resolution anorectal manometry (HRAM) to guide treatment and improve long-term outcomes. He is passionate about improving the quality of life of children through multidisciplinary care, innovation in diagnostics and therapy, and the development of specialised services, including paediatric bowel management and adolescent bariatric surgery.
