Profile

Dr Prasad Iyer is a Senior Consultant from the Children's Cancer Centre, at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore.

After exiting paediatric residency training from India, he spent nearly a decade and a half training and working in the best paediatric centres in the United Kingdom. He completed his advanced specialist training and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Training from Manchester. He then worked in paediatric/adolescent oncology and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation at The Great North Children’s Hospital (Royal Victoria Infirmary) Newcastle (UK) and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. He considers it his great privilege that he was able to train and work with world experts in oncology and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in Manchester and Newcastle.

Whilst he enjoys general paediatric oncology, he has a keen interest in acute leukaemia, bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies. He is a passionate teacher and a teaching faculty in all three medical schools in Singapore and also has an active interest in clinical research.
