Profile

Prof Tan Ah Moy received her MBBS from National University of Singapore(NUS) in 1973. She passed her Master of Medicine (Paediatric) NUS in 1997. She received her postgraduate train ing in Paediatric Hematology/Oncology from Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne under Ministry of Health Scholarship in 1986. Upon returning she has been actively involved in expansion and development of childhood cancer care in Singapore. She was a member of National Cancer Care Committee from 2000 to 2004. She was appointed as Adjunct Associate Professor in YLL School of Medicine in 2006 and subsequently as Adjunct Associate Professor, Duke -NUS School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

From 1997 to 2012 she was appointed Head of Paediatric Hematology/Oncology Service in KKH. During her headship, KKH provided comprehensive programme for treatment of childhood cancer and blood disorders in Singapore. The Singapore Childhood Cancer Registry was started in 1997 and she is Director of SCCR. SCCR has a comprehensive internet enabled data repository and supports many research projects in childhood cancer. As Director of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant in KKH and also a member of Singhealth Transplant Consortium and Viva-Asia BMT Consortium, she actively led the programme in research. She is involved in train ing clinical fellows from the region.
