Laboratory Disciplines - Molecular Pathology

The Molecular Pathology Laboratory is an extension of the Histopathology Laboratory and performs a comprehensive range of molecular testing for paediatric and gynaecological cancers. The laboratory welcomes regional and international referrals for molecular testing. The molecular tests offered include:
 

•NanoString medulloblastoma group determination

•Archer FUSIONPlex pan solid tumour v2 assay

•Microsatellite Instability (MSI) testing for endometrial cancer

•MLH1 promoter methylation analysis

•Molecular genotyping for identification of molar pregnancies

•MYOD1 p.L122R mutational analysis for spindle cell/sclerosing rhabdomyosarcomas

•FOXL2 p.C134W mutational analysis for juvenile/adult granulosa-cell tumour of ovary

•AmpliSeq Childhood Cancer Panel

•Endometrial Cancer (NGS) Panel
