Patient Status Updates

Patient status updates are displayed on the TV screen in the Day Surgery waiting area.

Status Guide

Pending

The patient has not yet arrived/ Awaiting to be registered/ Awaiting to be called in for pre-operative assessment.

Patient Arrived

The patient has arrived in the ward and is undergoing pre-operative assessment.

OT Reception

Patient is in the pre-operation area, preparing to be escorted into the operating theatre.

Patient Sent For

Patient has been transferred to the holding area at OT Level 2 for final checks prior to surgery.

In Induction Room

Patient is in a quiet waiting area adjacent to the operating room undergoing final assessments before surgery.

In Progress

Surgical procedure is currently ongoing.

In PACU

Surgery is complete; patient is being monitored in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Discharged to Ward

Post-operative recovery in PACU is complete; patient has been transferred to the step-down ward (for day surgery patients) and is nearing readiness for discharge.

For SDA patients, they will be discharged to their designated wards.

Take a short 5-min walk to enjoy some food and refreshments nearby.
